The longest lap on the calendar and a perennial favourite of drivers and fans alike, Spa-Francorchamps carves through the Ardennes forest with sweeping, high-speed majesty. Its defining moment is Eau Rouge–Raidillon, the breathtaking uphill left-right-left that crests blind at huge speed and tests nerve like nothing else. Beyond it lie the long Kemmel straight, the daunting Pouhon double-left, the flat-out Blanchimont and the slow Bus Stop chicane that closes the lap. Vast and fast, it rewards low-drag set-ups yet punishes any compromise. Spa's notorious microclimate is legendary: it can be dry at one end of the circuit and pouring at the other, making weather a constant strategic gamble. Add real overtaking opportunities and you have one of the sport's greatest, most complete challenges.
