The Lusail International Circuit is a fast, flowing layout dominated by a sequence of medium and high-speed corners that link together in a near-continuous rhythm. Originally a motorcycle venue, its sweeping geometry keeps cars loaded up for long stretches, generating sustained high lateral loads that punish tyres severely and have made tyre management a defining theme of the race. Run largely at night under floodlights to escape the desert heat, the smooth surface and rapid direction changes reward commitment and a well-balanced car. The lap demands precision and bravery through its quick esses, while the physical strain on drivers is considerable.
